Phillip Bell inspired images

The Phillip Bell images below provided some inspiration within this series of images, the colour composition created through the primary and secondary colours of blue, red and purple make up my images involving light and the blending technique was another feature I tried to explore through my own photography. What appealed to me most about the abstract aspects whilst working with light is the concentration required to decipher the photograph and each viewer can interpret the images with their own meaning. Each image also appears aesthetically appealing for different reasons, some capture a rich colour, some manipulate the the varying shape of the light spots and others depict beautiful details, enhanced by the bold contrast of black and colour in each. Due to the varying aspect of the abstract details the realism of the images can be construed in different ways and within the video of lights, an emotion can be created through the choice of music.
